Shopping online could help your school

If you shop online, you could be helping out our school. Below is a letter from Schoolpartner explaining how you can do that.

Dear PTA leader,
We at SchoolsPartner.com enjoyed the opportunity to meet you at last week's "Utah PTA Leadership Conference" at BYU, and spending a few moments with you to explain our website and the great benefit it will be to your PTA, providing a means of greatly increasing your PTA budget for next year, by simply asking Parents and Teachers to sign-up at SchoolsPartner.com, and pick your school (from the school menu) to be the recipient of the "kick-back", paid by our affiliated business partners, from the on-line shopping they're already doing (at places like Walmart.com, Groupon.com, BestBuy.com, Cabelas.com - hello Father's Day)!
* We also had a couple of fun giveaways including one packed full of great food products, and the other with a lot of wonderful products from the 'Body Shop' store! We've posted the winners of those giveaways on the home page at www.SchoolsPartner.com, so come see if it's YOU! Our winners haven't responded yet, so we may pick new ones tomorrow... *
We know many of you really grasped the power of SchoolsPartner.com and we loved your enthusiasm about getting started right away! 100's of you have already signed up and are beginning to use the website to make money for your school, and we know you're telling others to sign up. We also know that many of you plan to explain the program to parents/teachers later this summer (August) at "Back to School" night, and we understand how that makes sense, and we look forward to all those new parents/leaders earning funding for their kid's school. But, why lose out on the funding that could be generated for your PTA all summer long? If you can, go ahead and send home a flyer today by going to the bottom of the left menu (side-bar) on the homepage of SchoolsPartner.com, and clicking on the 'color flyer' button, opening a 'regular' 8.5x11 pdf, that can be printed, with 2 flyers per page to share today! Or create your own flyer explaining the benefit to your school/PTA, and send that home to parents.
You can contact us through the 'contact us' tab at SchoolsPartner.com with any questions. Best of Luck to you all going forward... especially to all you new PTA leaders for the 2011-2012 school year! We look forward to increasing your budgets and adding to your resources for the great work you're doing with our Utah students!
Sincerely,
SchoolsPartner.com

We need your help

Many children and adults in our county still need winter outerwear, especially coats, gloves, hate and boots. If you are cleaning out and need a great place to donate new or gently used clothing your local PTA is collecting them until January 20th. Please make sure that the items are cleaned prior to donating them.

There will be a drop off place provided near the front office of your local schools. All clothing that is donated will be sorted and redistributed through the homeless liaison that works for Tooele County School District.

Those in need of these items can go to the Community Closet that will be set up on Saturday, January 22nd from 9am to 2pm at the Community Learning Center in the main commons area ( 2101 South 1100 West- enter on the West side of the building.)

Other Community partners wanting to collect items to donate can bring them to the Community Closet location on Friday, January 21st between 3pm and 5pm to be sorted.

This is a great opportunity to help others in our extended community!
Any questions please contact a local PTA representative.

Thank you for your help!
